I am very pleased to announce that Rick Mercer, star of “The Rick Mercer Report”, will be our guest speaker at this year’s event. Rick launched his television career in 1994 as one of the creators, performers, and writers on the hit topical weekly show, “This Hour Has 22 Minutes”. He is currently one of the most sought after guest speakers in Canada and he has been a huge supporter of UNICEF for several years. 

The proceeds from this year’s Chefs for UNICEF Gala will support the purchase of bed nets for families in Liberia and Rwanda. In Africa, malaria is the single biggest killer of children under the age of five … can you believe that an African child dies of malaria every 30 seconds?!
