Welcome to Halifax!
Halifax, Nova Scotia is a place that was designed to host conventions.  It's no wonder CNN named it as one of North America's 12 perfect places.  As one of the most historic walking cities in North America it fulfills every wish and desire of even the most well travelled convention attendee.

Halifax Waterfront"The walking city" is a destination where visitors can stroll on the breath-taking waterfront boardwalk and take in everything from quaint boutique shops to majestic historic ships in their down time. And during conventions, attendees have the luxury of access to the World Trade and Convention Centre's 100,00 square feet of convention and exhibition space right from their hotel rooms. Over 1,000 hotel rooms are connected to the Convention Centre through pedways.

There are and additional 1,400 hotel rooms in the greater downtown core.  Halifax Stanfield International Airport is the closest airport to Europe and also offers pre-clearance to the United States with connections to major  cities  in Canada and the US.

Since we are known for our down to earth and friendly culture - convention organizers enjoy the personal touch and how we welcome everyone like a member of the family. Now on the national and international radar, aHalifax is becoming popular hosting past large scale events such as the Global Microcredit Summit and the G-8 Summit.

WhalewatchingWith the downtown vibe of historic charm meets modern flare - there is an energy that draws major films and movie stars who enjoy the charm of a kitchen party feeling in a world class setting.  International style restaurants offer every cuisine the world over with no shortage of traditional maritime seafood fare.

With Halifax and Nova Scotia as a top destination - most convention organizers reveal an increase in event attendance because of the significant extended stays pre and post convention to tour the historic Atlantic region.
