Halifax Stanfield International Airport is two hours closer to Europe than any other North American airport, and offers customs pre-clearance to the United States with direct connections to major cities in Canada and the US. And during conventions, attendees have the luxury of access to the World Trade and Convention Centre's 100,00 square feet of convention and exhibition space right from their hotel rooms. Over 1,000 hotel rooms are directly connected to the Convention Centre through pedways, and there are an additional 1,400 hotel rooms in the greater downtown core.
